Intellectual Property & Takedown Policy
Last updated: 10 September 2026
This Intellectual Property & Takedown Policy forms part of the Terms of Service of Expert Bucket, operated by Expert Bucket. It explains who owns what, and how to report content on the Platform that infringes your rights.
1. Who owns what
- The Platform. The Expert Bucket software, design, layout, database, name, logo and marks belong to us or our licensors. Your account gives you a limited licence to use the Platform, nothing more.
- Your content. You keep ownership of what you upload. You grant us the licence set out in clause 12.2 of the Terms so that we can host, display and promote it.
- Deliverables. Unless the listing or accepted offer states otherwise, the rights in a Seller's deliverable transfer to the Buyer on full payment and completion of the order. Before that, the Seller retains them.
- What does not transfer. A transfer does not include the Seller's pre-existing tools, libraries, templates, brushes, presets or know-how, or any third-party asset — stock media, fonts, plugins, music, code libraries — embedded in the deliverable. Those remain subject to their own licences.
- Sellers must disclose licences. A Seller who embeds a third-party asset must hold a licence permitting the Buyer's intended use and must tell the Buyer what that licence permits. Delivering an asset the Seller is not licensed to supply breaches the Acceptable Use Policy and may entitle the Buyer to a refund.
- Portfolio use. A Seller may show completed work in their portfolio unless the Buyer agreed otherwise, or unless doing so would disclose confidential information or an undisclosed sponsorship.
- Name and likeness. Where a deliverable features a person's face, voice or name — including in creator and influencer work — the Seller is responsible for holding a documented release from that person for the agreed use.
2. Reporting infringement
If you own an intellectual-property right, or are authorised to act for the owner, and you believe content on the Platform infringes it, send a notice to:

Email: admin@example.com
Your notice must include all of the following, or we may not be able to act on it:
- your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
- identification of the work or right you say is infringed — for a trade mark, the registration number and territory; for copyright, a description and, where possible, a link to the original;
- the exact URL of every item on Expert Bucket you say is infringing, enough for us to find it;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner, made under penalty of perjury; and
- your physical or electronic signature.
Send a separate notice for each unrelated matter. A vague complaint, a link to a whole profile, or an assertion without the statements above will be returned to you rather than actioned.
3. What we do with a notice
On receiving a complete notice we will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material identified, and we will notify the user who posted it, passing on your notice including your contact details. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.
We are not a court. We do not decide who owns a right, and removing material is not a finding that infringement occurred. Equally, declining to remove material is not a finding that it does not.
4. Counter-notice
If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, send a counter-notice to admin@example.com containing:
- your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
- identification of the material removed and the location it appeared before removal;
- a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of India, and your agreement to accept service of process from the complainant; and
- your physical or electronic signature.
We will forward the counter-notice to the complainant. If they do not tell us within 10 business days that they have started proceedings to restrain the activity, we may restore the material. We are not obliged to restore it where doing so would expose us to liability or would breach another policy.
5. Misuse of this process
Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a notice or counter-notice — that material infringes, or that it was removed by mistake — may make you liable for damages, including costs and legal fees, to the other party and to us. We may also close the account of anyone who repeatedly abuses this process to harass a competitor.
6. Trade marks in listings
Referring to a brand truthfully — "I edit videos in Premiere Pro", "I build Shopify stores" — is generally permitted. Using a brand's name, logo or styling in a way that suggests you are that brand, are endorsed by it, or are its official service, is not. Sellers offering work involving a brand's assets must hold that brand's permission.
7. Our safe-harbour position
We host content our users upload. We do not initiate transmissions, select receivers, or select or modify the information in them, and we do not have actual knowledge of unlawful content until we are told about it. We provide this process so that we can act on notice, and acting on a notice does not mean we monitor content generally or assume responsibility for it. Nothing in this Policy waives any immunity or defence available to us as an intermediary under applicable law.
