Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 10 September 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy forms part of the Terms of Service of Expert Bucket, operated by Expert Bucket. It applies to everything you do on the Platform — listings, proposals, briefs, messages, deliverables, reviews, profile content and conduct.
Breaching this Policy is a material breach of the Terms. We may remove content, cancel orders, withhold funds, restrict features, suspend or permanently close accounts, and report matters to the authorities, at our discretion and without notice.
1. Services that may not be offered or requested
Do not use Expert Bucket to offer, request, advertise, deliver or facilitate:
- Anything unlawful in any jurisdiction connected to the transaction, or that helps another person break the law.
- Academic dishonesty — sitting exams, writing assignments or theses to be submitted as someone else's own work, or circumventing proctoring.
- Fake engagement and manipulation — bought or bot followers, likes, views, subscribers, installs, votes, ratings or reviews; engagement pods; click fraud; artificial traffic; manipulation of app-store, search or platform rankings.
- Fake or incentivised reviews anywhere, including on this Platform and on third-party sites.
- Impersonation and forgery — pretending to be another person, brand or official body; creating fake identification, diplomas, certificates, invoices, bank statements, reviews, screenshots or press coverage; deepfakes or synthetic likeness or voice of a real person without their documented consent.
- Account trading — buying, selling or renting accounts, verification badges, followers, monetisation status, API keys or credentials on any platform.
- Hacking and intrusion — unauthorised access, credential stuffing, phishing kits, malware, ransomware, spyware, stalkerware, botnets, DDoS, exploit development for unauthorised use, or bypassing DRM, paywalls or licence checks.
- Spam and unsolicited outreach — bulk unsolicited email, SMS, WhatsApp or DM campaigns, scraped contact lists, or evading anti-spam controls.
- Financial crime and high-risk finance — money laundering, money mule services, unlicensed money transfer, Ponzi or pyramid schemes, guaranteed-return investment schemes, pump-and-dump promotion, unlicensed lending or credit repair, or fake financial documentation.
- Adult and exploitative content — pornography, sexual services, sexualised content involving minors in any form, or content sexualising real people without consent.
- Regulated and dangerous goods — weapons, ammunition, explosives, controlled substances, prescription medicines, tobacco or vaping products, and any service marketing them.
- Harm and hate — content or services that promote terrorism, violent extremism, human trafficking, self-harm, or that attack a person or group by race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or serious disease.
- Gambling where it is unlicensed or unlawful in a relevant jurisdiction, including betting tips sold as guaranteed outcomes.
- Infringement — delivering, reselling or repackaging work, code, fonts, stock media, templates, plugins, courses or software you are not licensed to supply; removing watermarks or attribution; or supplying pirated licences and keys.
- Personal data misuse — selling, scraping or trading personal data, doxxing, background checks without a lawful basis, or surveillance of a person without their consent.
- Misleading professional advice presented as regulated legal, medical, financial or immigration advice where the provider is not licensed to give it.
2. Conduct rules
- Be truthful. Do not misstate your identity, location, experience, qualifications, team size, audience metrics, past clients or results. Do not use another person's portfolio, showreel or code as your own.
- Disclose promotional content. Where a deliverable is an advertisement, sponsorship, paid endorsement or affiliate content, it must be capable of being disclosed as such, and the Seller must not agree to conceal it where disclosure is legally required.
- Disclose AI where it matters. If a listing promises original human work, do not deliver substantially machine-generated output without saying so. If a Buyer asks whether AI was used, answer honestly.
- No circumvention. Do not move a transaction off the Platform, share contact details or external payment links to do so, or ask another user to. See clause 7 of the Terms.
- No fee avoidance. Do not understate an order's value, split an order to dodge fees, or use the wallet or refund system to move money rather than to pay for services.
- No harassment. No threats, intimidation, sexual harassment, abuse, discriminatory remarks, or pressure over ratings, refunds or disputes. This applies to messages, reviews, disputes and support tickets alike.
- No manipulation of the marketplace. No multiple accounts, no coordinated ordering between related accounts to inflate ratings or sales, no keyword stuffing, and no bidding or reviewing on your own listings.
- Respect confidentiality. Do not publish another user's brief, files, credentials, personal data or private messages without their consent, and do not reuse credentials given to you for a job beyond that job.
- Deal in good faith. Deliver what was agreed, on time, and communicate promptly. Do not abandon an accepted order.
3. Technical rules
- Do not scrape, crawl, index, mirror or harvest the Platform or its data by any automated means without our prior written permission.
- Do not probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Platform, or breach or circumvent any security, rate-limiting or authentication measure.
- Do not upload anything containing a virus, worm, trojan or other harmful code, and do not use the Platform to distribute one.
- Do not interfere with the Platform's operation or place an unreasonable load on it.
- Do not reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source code of the Platform, or use it to build a competing product.
- Do not use the Platform through an automated agent, bot or unauthorised third-party client, or misrepresent the origin of your traffic.
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, report it privately to admin@example.com and give us a reasonable opportunity to fix it before disclosing it. Do not access, alter or exfiltrate other users' data while testing.
4. Reporting a breach
Use the report control on a listing, profile, message or review, or write to admin@example.com. Tell us what you saw, where, and why it breaches this Policy. For intellectual-property complaints, use the Intellectual Property & Takedown Policy instead, which has its own process and requirements.
We review reports we receive, but we do not undertake to monitor the Platform generally, and we are not obliged to act on any particular report or to explain a decision. Deliberately false reports are themselves a breach of this Policy.
5. What we may do
Depending on severity, history and risk, we may: remove or hide content; edit a listing's category or visibility; warn a user; cancel or refund an order; withhold or reverse funds; restrict messaging, withdrawals or new orders; suspend an account; permanently close an account and forfeit balances to the extent permitted by clause 16 of the Terms; refuse re-registration; and report the matter to a payment provider, a regulator or law enforcement.
We may take these steps immediately and without prior notice where we consider there is risk of harm, fraud, or legal exposure. We are not required to give a warning first.
6. Appeals
If you believe an enforcement decision was wrong, write to admin@example.com within 30 days with your account details and the reason. We will review it. Our decision on an appeal is final for the purpose of what the Platform does.
